Due to continued growth our Dudley site are now recruiting for a Material Planner on a full time permanent basis.

Salary: £27,501 per annum.

Working hours: Any 5 in 7 days, 8am-4pm.

As a Material Planner you will be responsible for ordering and scheduling material for short and long term in accordance with the plan, keeping stock levels on site in line with warehouse capacity.

Key Duties of a Material Planner:

  • Primary contact for factory in relation to materials availability for plan short and long term.
  • Co-ordinate and purchase consumable items.
  • Work closely with the Production Scheduler on a daily basis to ensure materials arrived on site and available for Production in line with customer deadlines.
  • Attend weekly and Monthly Planning Meetings as well as Pre-Production Meetings.
  • Smooth planning of inbound stock and vehicles within the capacity of the site.
  • Update stock status of packaging in relation to finished product status.
  • Utilise the ERP system to convert customer demand, material orders and deliveries into purchase orders (Vision and Globe SAP).
  • Liaise with our customer and suppliers regarding Non-Conforming deliveries.
  • Run daily production report for morning meeting, to look at previous day’s performance from a revenue POV.
  • Request SPI’s from the customer in line with first production of new products.
  • Administer material data through IPS and customer systems.
  • Escalate any materials issues to the Site Planning Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Material Planning/Scheduling essential.
  • MRP systems experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, Excel at Intermediate or above.
  • SAP experience.
  • Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines.
  • Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in all aspects of performance, in order to achieve service objectives.
