We are seeking an experienced Assistant Underwriter to join our clients dedicated Property team. As one of the UKs leading independent MGAs, they combine traditional values with modern technology resulting in exceptional service to broker partners. In this key role you will support brokers with new business enquiries and underwriting SME Property package policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite SME Property package policies within authority levels
- Provide professional support to brokers and deliver excellent customer service
- Assess risks, identify hazards, and determine appropriate terms and pricing
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships
- Support wider team and business development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with underwriting and regulatory requirements
About You
- Minimum 2 years experience within the insurance industry
- Experience with SME Property package policies
- Strong understanding of underwriting processes and the UK insurance market
- CERT CII qualified (DIP CII desirable)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills
- Team-oriented with a proactive, professional approach
