IPS Group are working with a leading insurer to find a Motor Underwriter to join their growing National Underwriting Hub! This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a couple of years of exposure to Motor Trade underwriting that has full Underwriting Authority and wants to further develop their technical expertise with a leading Insurer.

About the role

  • You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of new business and renewal cases, delivering profitable underwriting decisions in line with company appetite and guidelines.
  • You’ll work closely with brokers and internal teams to drive growth and maintain strong trading relationships.
  • Keep up to date with relevant market trends and insights.
  • Be on hand to support colleagues with any questions.

About you

  • Ideally 2 years of Motor Trade underwriting experience (Commercial lines preferred).
  • Strong negotiation and broker relationship skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to assess and price risk effectively.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied caseload.
  • Working towards Cert CII (desirable).
  • Full Underwriting Authority.
