Annual wage: Competitive minimum wage rates. Attractive pay (we offer a higher rate than the national minimum wage for apprentices.) Up to 25 days holiday + bank holidays. Pension scheme.

Training course: Mechatronics maintenance technician.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm. 40 hours a week.

Start date: Tuesday 1 September 2026.

Duration: 42 Months.

Positions available: 1.

Work: As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work: On site, a typical day could involve shadowing experienced engineers, helping to maintain and repair machinery, responding to breakdowns, or taking part in improvement projects. You’ll work across different UK manufacturing sites, giving you a broad understanding of the equipment you’ll be responsible for and how large-scale production environments operate.

Where you’ll work: Smeed Dean Works, Castle Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 3TN.

Your training plan: Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3.

Requirements – Essential qualifications: GCSE English, Maths and Science (Grade 4 and above) essential. Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
