The Graduate Project Engineer\’s assignments contain specific tasks on project teams and these individuals are expected to use their education, intelligence and common sense to resolve the engineering problems and tasks they are assigned. However, more experienced staff are always available to help when the Project Engineer I needs assistance.
Responsibilities
- Develops working knowledge of project scope and applies knowledge to project activities
- Develops a working knowledge of the work package budget, and identifies exceptions to the work package budget throughout execution of the work package
- Develops an outline understanding of contractually required quality in design and construction and supports quality assurance for the project
- Supports the Snr Project Engineer in facilitating communication between project participants e.g. meeting minutes
- Develops a working knowledge of Document Control to help expedite all project documents. Project documents include records of communications, design documents, bid packages and agenda and bulletins thereto, and submittals among others
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors/Masters of Project Management Degree from an accredited university.
- A commitment to attaining further professional development within the next three years.
- Team player with strong time management skills
- Strong oral and communication skills
All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
