Are you an enthusiastic Graduate Project Engineer? IPS is hiring! Join our industry-leading team at our European office based in Birmingham, UK, and become part of our enriching Graduate Programme. The Graduate Project Engineer's assignments contain specific tasks on project teams and these individuals are expected to use their education, intelligence and common sense to resolve the engineering problems and tasks they are assigned. However, more experienced staff are always available to help when the Project Engineer I needs assistance.
Responsibilities
- Develops working knowledge of project scope and applies knowledge to project activities.
- Develops a working knowledge of the work package budget, and identifies exceptions to the work package budget throughout execution of the work package.
- Develops an outline understanding of contractually required quality in design and construction and supports quality assurance for the project.
- Supports the Snr Project Engineer in facilitating communication between project participants e.g. meeting minutes.
- Develops a working knowledge of Document Control to help expedite all project documents.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer aided drafting.
- General knowledge of system design and applicable codes in specific discipline related area (Mechanical, Structural, Plumbing, Electrical or Process).
- Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE {formerly known as EIT}) exam completion is encouraged.
All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
