A well known organisation has a new opportunity to join their In House insurance team in a hybrid Claims Supervisor/ Insurance Officer position which will combine higher level claims responsibilities as well as deputising to the Insurance Manager in relation to the management of the insurance programme.

You will oversee all claims including EL/PL, motor and property leading the relationship between the organisation and third party administrator to manage all claims. You’ll play a key role in ensuring claims are handled efficiently, targets are met, our systems are fit for purpose and that stakeholders are kept well-informed through accurate reporting and analysis.

You’ll take ownership of developing and maintaining the claims management system and reporting processes, ensuring data integrity and efficiency. You’ll provide financial analysis and trend insights to support renewals and tenders, helping shape strategic decisions.

Your responsibilities will include conducting on-site investigations, preparing statements, and negotiating settlements, as well as authorising claim payments up to £25,000. You’ll deliver technical insurance guidance across the organisation playing a key role in supervising team members while driving continuous service improvement.

Additionally, you’ll deputise for the Insurance Manager leading on policy development and procurement to strengthen the insurance framework. This makes this the perfect opportunity for someone looking to step into an In House role with a view to becoming an Insurance Manager.

To be considered you will need to have a strong claims background ideally with cross class exposure to including EL/PL, motor and property. Candidates will be considered from a current in house team, Insurer, Broker, TPA or law firm.

Flexibility will be offered to work from home on average you will be in the office 2 days per week. There will be further opportunities to progress within the in house insurance team either further within claims or even into an Insurance Manager position.
