An independent accountancy practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Senior to join its friendly and supportive team. The firm is a professional and collaborative practice with a total of 14 employees, including a dedicated accounts team of 9. The team is a strong mix of recently qualified Chartered Accountants, AAT-qualified and part-qualified staff, as well as experienced QBE professionals. The business places a strong emphasis on team development and maintaining a positive, supportive working environment.

The Accounts Senior will play an important role within the accounts team, working with a varied portfolio of clients and contributing to the delivery of high-quality accountancy services. The role offers a good level of autonomy alongside team support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of year-end accounts for a wide range of clients
  • Managing client relationships and responding to queries
  • Supporting and reviewing work prepared by junior team members
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines
  • Assisting with general practice work as required
Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice
  • Ideally AAT qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)
  • Study candidates will be considered for the right individual, though this is not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Hours & Benefits
  • Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
  • Flexible working hours with flexitime (earliest start 6:30am, latest finish 5:00pm)
  • Typical working hours of 8:00am 4:00pm with a 30-minute lunch
  • 12:00pm finish on Fridays
  • Supportive and team-oriented working environment
