IPS Group is working exclusively with this highly regarded Global Insurer on a new role which has come about due to the retirement of their Senior Casualty Underwriter. This is a unique opportunity for the Birmingham underwriting market which will offer full autonomy to write business. This highly regarded insurer has a strong presence in the UK regional market.

Based in Birmingham, this role sits within a successful underwriting team and offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of large corporate risks across the UK and multinational programmes. As this position has become available due to the retirement of a long-standing and respected underwriter, it will offer a rare platform to inherit and grow a well-structured, profitable book.

You will take ownership of a broad casualty portfolio spanning the Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow broking markets, with a key focus on driving and managing business from the Birmingham hub. The portfolio includes a wide variety of risks across sectors such as:

  • Retail
  • Supermarkets
  • Manufacturing
  • Metalworking
  • Food
  • Beverage
  • Wholesale distribution
  • Utilities
  • Renewables

Strong appetite for construction and renewables. Open to multinational programmes with scope to expand this book. Structured and cautious approach to US exposures. This is a technical and commercially focused underwriting role.
