The underwriting team at IPS Group Birmingham are supporting a highly regarded global Insurer often mentioned as one of the most desirable Insurers to work for in the market. They are looking to appoint a Senior Construction Underwriter in this new business focused role which can be based in either Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds. This is a senior, high profile role with responsibility for driving new business, managing key broker relationships, and contributing to the growth of a £25M construction portfolio.
You will be joining a team of experienced Construction Underwriters with high visibility and direct exposure to senior leadership, this role will offer real influence over underwriting strategy and portfolio development. You will be working across a varied and technically engaging mix of business including annual contractors policies and project specific construction risks. You will be a referral oversight for liability underwriters where construction elements require specialist input.
