A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced senior associate level professional indemnity solicitor to join its growing professional risks team in Manchester.
Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a Legal 500-ranked practice handling complex and high-value insurance disputes while playing a key role in the continued development of the team. You will advise on a broad range of professional indemnity, liability and coverage matters, acting for insurers and insureds across a varied caseload ranging from relatively modest claims through to multi-million-pound disputes. The role offers significant autonomy, exposure to London Market work, and the opportunity to contribute to strategic growth initiatives, mentoring and business development.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
- Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with strong experience in professional indemnity, insurance litigation or professional risks work.
- You should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience handling professional indemnity and/or liability insurance claims from a defendant perspective
- Ideally have previous exposure to policy coverage advice and coverage disputes
- A background within insurance litigation, professional risks or defendant litigation teams
- The ability to manage a varied caseload independently across a range of values and complexities
- Strong technical, communication and client relationship skills
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members, or a desire to develop in this area
- An interest in business development and helping to grow a successful practice using the firms insurance sector links and internal market opportunities
- Previous London Market experience would be advantageous but is not essential
