This is an opportunity for a Placement Specialist to work at this global insurance group, within an area undergoing significant growth across a huge delegated facility platform. This could suit candidates working within Portfolio Solutions, Programme Management, Delegated / MGA / Underwriting Management, or Reinsurance Broking background ideally with an actuarial focus. Previous Capital Management / Placement Management / Carrier or Facility oversight experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with MGAs: Work directly with MGA leadership to identify and structure their capacity requirements.
- Analyze Data: Evaluate complex portfolio performance metrics and large datasets to drive placement strategies.
- Negotiate Capacity: Design market strategies and secure capacity from Lloyd's, company, and reinsurance markets.
- Manage Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with senior executive stakeholders across the UK and US.
This is a high-impact role where you will be responsible for producing and refining the pitch decks, presentations, and analyses which underpin the capacity negotiations with carriers. You will work closely with the reserving and pricing functions within the wider platform working on sophisticated capital management solutions, together with guiding the MGA leadership to switch data and underwriting results into compelling carrier-facing materials. Not for the faint-hearted, this is a strategic role which is more than the typical 9-5, working across various time zones, and working across a busy alignment of multiple deals at any given time - the role requires a hard-working, career-focused individual who has the varied skill set, high level communication ability to really be able to hit the ground running.
