Job Description

Marine Underwriter – Manchester (Hybrid)IPS Group is working with a well-known insurer to bring someone new into their Marine team in Manchester. If you’ve got a solid foundation of insurance and underwriting, even if it’s in a different product area, this could be your chance to step into something new and exciting.You’ll be joining a team that’s focused on renewals, with a bit of new business thrown in. The premiums range in complexity, so you’ll get exposure to both fast-paced, high-volume work and more complex cases. You’ll be building relationships with brokers and customers, learning how to balance their needs with the company’s goals, and gradually gaining confidence in your own decisions.You’ll be supported by experienced underwriters who are happy to share their knowledge and help you build your skills in cargo and freight. It’s a team that values development and collaboration, and they’ll give you the space to grow while making sure you’ve got the guidance you need.We’re looking for someone with around one or two years of insurance experience.
