One of the largest independent law firms in the North West is now looking to recruit a talented Employment Solicitor or Associate (NQ-4 PQE) to join its award-winning Employment team.

About the Team

The Employment team advises a diverse client base ranging from owner-managed businesses through to FTSE 100 companies, as well as senior executives and individuals facing complex employment law matters.

Led by highly regarded Partners, the team has been consistently recognised for its expertise.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across Corporate, Commercial and Dispute Resolution, the team offers an exceptional platform for ambitious employment lawyers looking to build their careers within a supportive and high-performing environment.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Employment Solicitor or Associate to work on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters while contributing to the continued growth and success of the department.

You will advise a wide range of clients, develop strong relationships, and play an active role in business development and team initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on the full spectrum of employment law matters, including:
  • Employment tribunal claims
  • Equality and discrimination issues
  • TUPE matters
  • Reorganisations and redundancies
  • Restrictive covenants
  • Corporate support work
  • Acting for employers, senior executives and individuals across a variety of sectors.
  • Delivering practical, commercial and strategic advice tailored to clients' objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Delivering client training and contributing to the team's knowledge-sharing programme.
  • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior team members where appropriate.
  • Managing files effectively, ensuring accurate time recording and timely billing.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in employment legislation and case law.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the firms values and culture.

About You

  • NQ to 4 years' PQE gained ideally within a national or leading regional or boutique law firm.

  • Excellent organisational and matter management skills.
