Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join their team to support the delivery of payroll-related projects, system changes, process improvements and onboarding activity.

Key Responsibilities of

Payroll

Analyst: Support the delivery of payroll projects, including system implementations, upgrades, process improvements and payroll transitions.

Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements, track progress and resolve project issues.

Assist with payroll system changes, including impact assessments, testing, deployment and go-live support.

Prepare and execute payroll test scripts, support UAT, record results and help resolve defects.

Support payroll data migration, validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Assist with parallel payroll runs, investigate variances and support issue resolution before implementation.

Maintain project documentation, including procedures, process maps, testing records and audit evidence.

Identify and support improvements to payroll processes, controls and ways of working.

Support audit, compliance and reporting activities, ensuring payroll data is accurate and well controlled.

Provide project updates, support training and help embed new payroll processes.

Ensure payroll data is managed in line with legislation, data protection and internal policies.

Demonstrate commitment to organisational values and objectives while representing the organisation professionally at all times.

Essential: Payroll operations experience, including high-volume payrolls and system changes.

Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes, statutory requirements and controls.

Experience supporting UAT, testing, defect management and go-live activities.

Excellent analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.

Skilled in payroll documentation, process improvement and stakeholder communication.

Strong payroll systems knowledge with a focus on compliance and operational efficiency.
