The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.
This is a new portfolio underwriter opening, working for a large global insurance group, with a strong and well-known presence in the London market. Working across mainly speciality classes of business, this role demands strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of risk aggregation and portfolio dynamics.
You will be working across different distribution channels including broker facilities, algorithmic platforms, consortia and coverholders. As with many portfolio underwriting roles, you will be responsible for supporting the data capture, analysis, statistical reporting across the wider portfolio, monitoring performance and aggregations.
The role does require a strong level of underwriting analytical ability. Current portfolio specialists, whether from a delegated, treaty or general portfolio background should have advanced Excel, possibly Power BI or similar ability.
Class of business is open, applications considered from across a wide platform. What is essential is the underwriting exposure and being currently underwriting with a good authority level. For this role, underwriting experience is a pre-requisite.
