A growing specialist insurance underwriter focused on complex property and catastrophe-driven risks is bringing its technology capability in-house. This is a rare opportunity to join as the first in-house Software Engineer, with real ownership and a clear pathway into future technical leadership.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in modernising core systems, including rebuilding pricing engines and algorithms, while advising senior stakeholders and shaping long-term technical direction.
What You’ll Do
- Rebuild and enhance pricing systems and algorithms
- Design and develop full-stack solutions
- Contribute to system design and solution architecture
- Build and integrate APIs in a microservices environment
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with international teams
Skills & Experience
- Strong full-stack engineering background
- Experience with C#, Python and SQL (R beneficial)
- Exposure to microservices and API-led architectures
- Good system design capability
- Insurance or reinsurance experience is a must
