Are you an experienced injury lawyer looking to make a move in-house? Our client is an established, forward-thinking insurance business that is seeking a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Fee Earner to join its Complex Claims Care Team in Leeds. The position sits within a growing claims function that prides itself on delivering a proactive, commercial and client-focused service.
The successful candidate will manage a varied and technically interesting caseload, with a particular focus on care-related matters, while working closely with brokers, underwriters and internal stakeholders. Someone from an EL/PL claims background is ideal.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed- Strong background in defendant or claimant EL/PL work.
- Care sector experience beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to understand policy wordings and their application, particularly in relation to Professional Indemnity, Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Management Liability claims.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and see claims through to resolution.
- Confidence building and maintaining relationships with brokers and key stakeholders.
- Willingness to study towards, or continue with, CII qualifications where relevant.
- Perfect opportunity for a lawyer looking to move into an in house insurance sector role.
- You will step away from billable hours and litigation and move into coverage assessment, claims management and wordings advice.
- Salary up to £45,000.
