IPS Group are working with a specialist insurance intermediary group to bring in a Lead Commercial Combined Underwriter. This opportunity is split across their London and Essex offices.
The position centres on underwriting Commercial Combined risks across the SME and mid-market sectors while driving profitable growth and strengthening broker relationships. The role involves managing new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments, ensuring decisions are technically accurate, consistent, and delivered with excellent broker service. Premiums for this opportunity will typically range between £5,000 - £40,000.
You will work closely with Underwriting, Product, and IT teams, as well as provide guidance and support to junior underwriters. Although you are classed as a Lead Underwriter, there is no people management in this role.

- The ideal person for this opportunity will be a vastly experienced Commercial Combined Underwriter with excellent technical knowledge across Property, Business Interruption, and Liability Insurance.
