Working as part of an established audit and accounts team, you will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high quality audit and accountancy services while building long term client relationships. Key Responsibilities- Planning and completing statutory audits for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts in line with current accounting standards.
- Supporting managers and partners with client assignments and advisory work.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with owner-managed businesses and SME clients.
- Supervising, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of audit engagements from start to completion.
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide practical commercial advice.
- Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Several years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong audit experience alongside accounts preparation.
- Experience managing client relationships and working across a varied portfolio.
- Good technical knowledge of UK accounting and audit standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
