An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) seeking a first move from practice into industry. This position offers the chance to play a key role in a fast-paced, growing organisation. This is a hybrid working opportunity with 2 days WFH.
This role provides full ownership of the month-end close process and delivery of accurate and timely divisional reporting. Acting as a trusted finance business partner, the successful candidate will collaborate across the division to drive insight, efficiency, and value creation.
The position offers exposure to senior management, operational finance teams, and external advisors, as well as the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives—enhancing systems, processes, and management reporting capabilities.
Reporting to the Divisional Financial Director, the role covers management reporting, financial control, and support for statutory reporting of divisional entities.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow forecasts, variance analysis, KPIs, and commentary
- Partnering with the division to provide insight, analysis, and clear communication of financial data
- Liaising with external auditors on statutory audit engagements
- Reviewing and improving processes and controls in collaboration with finance and operational teams
- Supporting merger and acquisition activity as required
- Assisting the Group Financial Controller, and CFO as needed
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA), ideally seeking a first move from practice into industry
- Strong communication skills and commercial acumen
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
- Team-oriented, with the ability to lead and develop others
- Previous audit experience or experience within a large/complex organisation is advantageous
