IPS Group are working with a leading insurer to recruit an experienced Senior Delegated Authority Underwriter to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of delegated authority schemes and help shape underwriting strategy within a non-standard motor portfolio.
The Role: This is a little different to your regular Underwriting role as this role is Underwriting with some other elements of Pricing/ MI Analysis. You will play a key role in managing and developing delegated authority arrangements, working closely with underwriting and pricing teams to drive performance and innovation.
Key responsibilities:
- Support development of underwriting strategy alongside pricing teams
- Manage and review delegated authority scheme performance (monthly MI analysis)
- Identify and assess new scheme opportunities
- Monitor market trends, technology, data insights, and customer feedback
- Maintain and update product specifications and rate charts
- Ensure products remain competitive and compliant
- Drive process improvements across products and functions
About You:
- Proven experience in underwriting, product development, or a technical insurance role
- Experience with delegated authority / schemes
