An established independent accountancy practice in Barnsley is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join its growing team. Working with a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses, you will be responsible for preparing accounts, supporting clients with their accounting requirements and building long term client relationships.
The role will include:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies
- Accounts preparation for sole traders and partnerships
- Supporting clients with bookkeeping and accounting queries
- Assisting clients with Making Tax Digital requirements
- Liaising directly with clients and responding to day to day queries
- Working closely with senior staff and partners on client assignments
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing accounts for limited company clients
- Good communication and client relationship skills
- AAT qualified, ACCA studying or qualified by experience
- The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
