This is a newly created position offering the chance to play a key role in a strategic growth area, with a strong focus on building out broker relationships and driving new business across the regions.
As a Development Underwriter, your primary focus will be on generating new business within the SME PI space. You’ll work closely with regional brokers, developing trading opportunities and building a strong pipeline.
This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with the Business Development Manager, Distribution Manager, and Team Leader, giving you strong support while still allowing autonomy in how you approach the market.
The role is predominantly remote, covering regional brokers, with the expectation to travel into the London office a couple of days each month to stay aligned with the wider team.
We’re looking for individuals with proven Professional Indemnity underwriting experience, strong broker relationships, and a commercial mindset. You’ll be confident trading, comfortable in the market, and able to contribute to growth through both technical underwriting and relationship development.
