Our client is looking for a Solicitor to join its highly regarded Regulatory team in the Greater Manchester area. You'll work on a varied and engaging caseload involving professional discipline, regulatory investigations, enforcement action, and appeals while benefiting from a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and career progression. The Role As a Solicitor within the Regulatory team, you will advise and represent commercial and professional clients facing a wide range of regulatory and enforcement issues. You'll manage your own caseload and work across matters including: Professional discipline proceedings Regulatory defence matters Care Quality Commission (CQC) enforcement Ofsted enforcement Appeals against regulatory decisions Criminal investigations and prosecutions The team handles both privately funded and insurance-backed work, providing exposure to a broad range of complex and interesting cases. Key Responsibilities Managing a varied caseload across the team's core practice areas Providing pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice Drafting legal documents, correspondence and client advice Preparing cases for hearings, including liaising with Counsel Attending hearings, conferences, client meetings and interviews under caution Ensuring compliance with procedural requirements, SRA regulations and internal processes Conducting risk assessments and maintaining accurate case records Managing work in progress, billing and financial performance of matters Delegating work effectively where appropriate Identifying cross-selling opportunities across the firm Delivering exceptional client care and maintaining high professional standards Maintaining continuing professional development and training records About You Our client is interested in hearing from solicitors at various stages of their careers who are looking to build or further develop a specialism in regulatory law.
