IPS Group are working with a leading UK Insurer to find an Existing Business Mobile Underwriter to build trusted, long-term relationships with established partners across the South West.
The Role:
- We’re on the lookout for a Commercial Underwriter who enjoys getting out and building real relationships.
- This is a field-based role where you’ll spend a couple of days each week visiting agencies, with the rest of your time working from home.
- You’ll be focusing purely on existing business, so no chasing new leads, just developing strong, long-term partnerships and delivering great underwriting support.
- The work is varied, covering a mix of Property & Casualty risks, typically in the £35K-£100K+ premium range.
- You’ll act as a go-to expert for existing clients in your patch helping them navigate complex cases, make confident decisions, and ultimately deliver the best outcomes for customers.
- Alongside this, you’ll keep an eye on performance, spotting trends and identifying areas for improvement, while sharing your knowledge to strengthen underwriting capability across the network.
What We’re Looking For:
- A proven Underwriter with strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance is key, along with the confidence to make decisions and work independently.
- You’ll be someone who naturally builds strong relationships, can influence and advise others, and is comfortable analysing data to spot trends or opportunities.
- Given the nature of the role involving travel, you must be flexible with your working hours and hold a full valid UK license.
