IPS Group are working closely with a highly regarded Global Insurer who are looking to hire a new Compliance Manager to join their Manchester-based team
This is a great opportunity for a confident and experienced compliance professional to take on a varied and visible role within a well-established insurance business. Youll be part of a collaborative team and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to help maintain high standards of regulatory compliance.
In this role, youll play a key part in overseeing compliance arrangements across the business, ensuring they meet requirements set out by the FCA, PRA, Lloyds, and other relevant regulatory bodies. Youll take the lead in providing compliance oversight and support to Coverholders and key third-party partners, drawing on the expertise within the wider Risk & Compliance function.
Your responsibilities will include managing regulatory reporting, offering practical compliance advice to internal stakeholders, and identifying potential areas of regulatory risk. Youll work on reviewing policies and procedures, delivering training, and ensuring that regulatory changes are well understood and implemented across the business. Youll also be responsible for submitting regulatory returns (particularly FCA submissions), responding to audit and regulator queries, and maintaining accurate records of all compliance communications and activities.
The role also involves helping to develop and deliver the annual Compliance Plan and mentoring junior team members. Youll be expected to manage your workload proactively, contribute to cross-functional projects, and attend internal committees or forums when required.
We are looking for someone with solid insurance experience in a compliance or regulatory role, ideally with exposure to both insurer and intermediary environments. Experience within the Lloyds market is desirable, exposure to the UK regulatory landscape is important, along with the ability to assess risk and provide sound, practical compliance guidance. Experience with Conduct Risk, oversight of third-party relationships, and compliance review processes is highly valued. An ACII qualification or working towards one is a plus, though equivalent experience is welcome.
Even if your experience doesnt match every requirement exactly, we still encourage you to apply. You may bring the right mindset and approach to thrive in this role.
