A well-established firm of accountants is seeking a motivated and professional Client Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant with previous experience in an accountancy practice, looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, acting as the key point of contact for all their accountancy needs. This hands-on role will involve preparing statutory accounts and tax returns, providing expert advice, and building long-term relationships with clients across a range of sectors. In addition, there is scope to become involved in audit assignments ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience. Prior audit experience is not required, as full support and training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts, management accounts, and corporate tax returns
  • Liaise with clients to provide day-to-day support and build trusted relationships
  • Assist or take part in audit engagements as required (training available)
  • Supervise junior team members and review their work as appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to add value and improve client service

Candidate Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experience in an accountancy practice environment is essential
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident managing client relationships and deadlines
  • A team player with the ability to work independently
