IPS have partnered alongside a leading global (re)insurance provider in their search for a Senior Catastrophe Analyst to join their high-performing analytics team focusing on Energy. The successful candidate will work closely with Underwriters, Actuaries, and Senior Management, providing vital analytics to help guide underwriting decisions and overall view of risk.

There will be ample opportunity to be directly involved in exciting work such as developing new tools and workflows, automating processes, model validation, and project work on an ad-hoc basis to help drive business performance. With full support and guidance from the Head of Exposure Management, you will act as a key figure and mentor for junior colleagues, making this a great opportunity to develop managerial skills and qualities.

To be considered for this position:

  • Demonstrable experience using a recognised catastrophe model (Energy class experience being ideal but other Nat Cat lines will be considered)
  • Technical proficiency using tools such as SQL, Python, and Power BI is highly advantageous but not a requisite.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders.
