IPS is working with an innovative and fast-growing InsurTech who are expanding its UK claims operation. This is an excellent opportunity to join their team as an FNOL Claims Handler, becoming the initial point of contact for customers when they report a motor incident. This role forms part of a newly created claims team, offering the chance to join at an exciting stage of the company's growth. As one of the first team members in the function, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact, contribute to the development of processes and customer journeys, and position yourself for future career progression as the business continues to expand.
The Role:
You will handle First Notification of Loss (FNOL) calls, capturing accurate incident details and assessing the situation to ensure each claim is set up correctly from the very start. You'll be speaking with customers at a stressful moment, so a calm and reassuring approach is essential as you ensure they receive a seamless journey. You'll work closely with internal colleagues and external suppliers to keep processes moving effectively and maintain exceptional levels of service. As the UK operation continues to grow, you'll also play a role in improving workflows and customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling incoming FNOL calls and logging claims accurately
- Gathering details on liability, third parties and property damage
- Assessing liability and supporting claim investigations where required
- Managing claims through the customer journey, including repairs and total loss cases
- Maintaining accurate claim records, reserves and payments
About You:
You'll have previous experience handling motor claims, strong communication skills and a confident, customer-focused approach. You will also need to have the ability to gather accurate information, investigate claim circumstances and manage multiple priorities effectively. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail and enjoy contributing ideas to improve processes and customer outcomes.
Whats in it for You:
You'll receive a competitive salary and bonus, overtime pay enhancements, private medical cover, life insurance and pension support. The role is hybrid, with full office presence during probation and then 4 days per week in the office. There may be the odd Saturday shift, which will be paid as overtime, along with some bank holiday cover once fully established.
This is also a rare opportunity to join a newly established claims function within a growing InsurTech. As one of the early hires, you'll play an important role in shaping the team's success, gaining exposure to a broad range of responsibilities and creating genuine opportunities for future development and progression as the UK operation grows.
