A personal injury solicitor is required by this international law firm to join a team specialising in dealing with high value catastrophic defendant injury work. This is based in its Edinburgh office.
Role Overview
You will be expected to handle your own caseload whilst assisting the partners on their more complex cases. There will be a requirement for you to attend the Sheriff Court regularly. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical ability in high value and complex serious injury work for a mix of insurance company and self-insured corporate clients.
Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a solicitor with the following experience/characteristics:
- Previous experience in personal injury work. Ideally Defender, but those with Pursuer focused experience will be considered.
- As a minimum requirement, our client would expect someone to have gained two years’ worth of post qualification experience.
- Whilst you will handle your own caseload, a significant part of the role will be assisting the partners and you must be comfortable working in such a capacity.
- Someone willing to be involved in servicing existing client relationships and assisting with business development initiatives within the department.
- Confident communicator and advocate.
- Excellent research skills.
