Job Description
Are you an experienced Senior Casualty Underwriter with proven management responsibility, ready to take the next step in your career? If you’re looking for more strategic input, greater influence over underwriting decisions, and the opportunity to help shape a high-performing team, this could be the ideal role.
You will be the focal point for an established London Market casualty portfolio, comprising UK-domiciled corporate risks across a wide range of industries. You will lead on the most complex and technical accounts while also playing a key role in the development and oversight of the broader team.
Key responsibilities:
- Underwriting complex and high-value casualty risks within appetite
- Oversight of the portfolio’s performance and profitability and contributing to and helping execute the underwriting strategy against business plan
- Managing and mentoring junior underwriters, supporting their development and performance
- Maintaining strong broker and client relationships
- Providing input into product development, pricing, and risk selection
Required experience:
- Strong track record in casualty underwriting
- Demonstrated experience managing underwriters or junior team members
