A growing professional services business based in Halifax is looking to recruit a Transactional Finance Supervisor to join its finance team. Reporting to a qualified Finance Manager, this role offers a great opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to step into a supervisory position and develop their career.
The Role
You will take ownership of the day-to-day transactional finance function, overseeing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This is a hands-on role where you will ensure processes run smoothly, support the wider finance team, and drive improvements in efficiency and controls. The role is open to a career move from practice or industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee invoicing, collections, supplier payments, and reconciliations
- Support month-end processes related to transactional finance
- Review work completed by junior team members
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Assist with queries from internal stakeholders and external clients
- Ensure strong financial controls and adherence to procedures
