An immediately available accountant is required to support a business based near the Bowling area of Bradford. This is an interim assignment, expected to run for approximately three months, supporting the finance team through a busy period. The role is hands on and operational, suited to an accountant who is comfortable working through core ledger and month end tasks and providing practical support across the wider accounts function.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including control accounts
- Posting of journals covering accruals, prepayments and corrections
- Completion of bank reconciliations and investigation of reconciling items
- Cash posting and allocation across sales and purchase ledgers
- Costings work and support to margin and variance analysis
- Assistance with month end close activities
- Ad hoc accounting support to the wider finance team
- Maintenance of ledger accuracy and support with process improvements
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000. This role would suit a part qualified or qualified by experience accountant who is immediately available and comfortable stepping into an interim position. Prior experience in a hands-on accounting role is essential. The assignment is office based or predominantly office based.
