A growing 45m turnover manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to oversee a small accounts team and produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, whilst also assisting with various project work. The position could suit a qualified management accountant looking for a step up or experienced finance manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production of monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Manage rolling forecasts and cost centre reviews in partnership with operational and commercial teams.
- Oversee all aspects of transactional finance, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial controls are robust.
- Provide margin and project costing analysis to drive commercial insight.
- Support the year-end audit process, including preparation of schedules and liaison with external auditors.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting to support senior leadership decisions.
- Collaborate with IT to enhance reporting systems and streamline finance processes.
- Mentor and develop junior finance staff, creating a high-performing, well-supported team.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or project-based environment preferred.
