Trainee Accountant

Fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join a well-established, independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Driffield, North Yorkshire.

This firm has a solid bank of loyal clients, giving you the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals to keep your work balanced and interesting.

Your career will progress through your studies and work experience, as a Trainee Accountant you will have the support of other employees who are studying, whilst gaining a breadth of experience from senior staff.

As a Trainee Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of year end accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Support with bookkeeping as and when required.
• Calculating corporate tax and personal tax liabilities.

To successfully apply for this Trainee Accountant position, ideally you will meet the following:

• Be studying towards AAT, ACA, or ACCA.
• Have 2+ years’ experience within an Accountancy Firm, in a Trainee Accountant position.
• Be committed to your studies to ensure your long-term progression and success.
• Comfortable building long-term relationships with clients and colleagues.
