A highly respected and well-established law firm in Bath has instructed us exclusively to source an ambitious and motivated Paralegal to join their Clinical Negligence team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with some legal experience, ideally in Clinical Negligence, to progress their career within a supportive and professional environment.

Role Overview
As a Paralegal within the Clinical Negligence team, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting qualified lawyers and assisting with the smooth progression of client cases. The role involves a combination of administrative duties, legal research, document drafting, and client liaison. You will have the opportunity to manage low-value or pre-funded cases under supervision and support the team in delivering high-quality legal services to clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with caseload management and fee-earning tasks under supervision.
  • Drafting legal documents using firm templates and precedents.
  • Conducting accurate and efficient legal research.
  • Managing administrative duties relating to case files, data protection, and compliance.
  • Supporting business development and marketing activities.
  • Time recording all work and working towards set financial targets.

Candidate Profile / Experience Needed

We’re looking to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Previous paralegalexperience gainedideally within clinical negligence work. Alternatively within a personal injury department.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Strong written communication and document drafting abilities.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and other legal IT systems.
  • A genuine interest in Clinical Negligence and client care.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to undertake basic legal work under supervision, showing initiative where appropriate.
