An opportunity with a well-regarded independent Professional Indemnity (PI) broker in Bristol, suited to someone who values a quality book and strong client relationships over heavy new business pressure. You’ll inherit an established portfolio of around £250k income, focused on Solicitors and IFAs, giving you the chance to work with technical, engaged clients where your advice genuinely matters.
Day to day, you’ll be managing renewals end to end, speaking regularly with clients, negotiating with insurers, and ensuring everything runs smoothly across the lifecycle of each policy. You’ll be trusted to run your book properly, staying on top of key renewal timelines, handling queries, and providing considered advice rather than transactional service.
There’s also some involvement in supporting colleagues on placements and picking up new opportunities that naturally come through the existing client base. While this isn’t a target-driven new business role, there is an expectation to develop and grow the book over time through client relationships, referrals and organic opportunities.
The environment is boutique, collaborative and grown-up, offering real autonomy and flexibility in how you manage clients and place risks. Acturis experience is essential, and you’ll be comfortable using it as part of your daily workflow.
The role is predominantly desk-based, with most client interaction handled remotely, but it’s not fully remote. There’s an expectation of regular time spent in the Bristol office to stay connected with the wider team, alongside flexibility depending on where you’re based.
This would suit someone already operating in a PI servicing or account executive role who is looking for something more specialist and relationship driven. If you want a role where the book is already there, the clients are meaningful, and the focus is on doing things properly, it is well worth you applying.
