We are working with a global leader in claims management and loss adjusting services to identify an exceptional Major & Complex Loss (MCL) Adjuster. This is a high-profile appointment suited to a technically accomplished professional who thrives on handling large, complex, and high-value claims across a broad range of lines. You will play a central role in managing significant losses from first instruction through to settlement, acting as a trusted partner to insurers, brokers and policyholders on some of the most demanding and reputationally sensitive cases in the market.
As a Major & Complex Loss Adjuster, you will take full ownership of a caseload of high-value and technically challenging claims. You will be expected to exercise sound judgement, deploy specialist expertise, and deliver outcomes that meet both commercial and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of major and complex losses from instruction through to resolution, including large property, liability, BI and catastrophe losses.
- Conduct thorough site investigations, assessments and cause-and-origin analysis across domestic, commercial and industrial risks.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, coverage opinions and quantum assessments for insurers and Lloyd's markets.
- Lead coverage analysis, policy interpretation and liability determination on complex, multi-party claims.
- Appoint, instruct and manage specialist third parties including forensic accountants, engineers, legal counsel and restoration contractors.
- Actively manage business interruption claims, including loss of profits, increased cost of working and contingent BI.
- Engage directly with senior stakeholders: insurers, brokers, risk managers, legal teams and C-suite representatives.
- Manage claims proactively.
