IPS Group is partnering with a respected insurer to find a talented Marine Insurance specialist to join their Underwriting team in Leeds. In this role, you will build strong relationships with intermediaries and customers, ensuring their needs align with the company’s objectives. Your expertise will be vital in identifying opportunities and supporting the wider team, sharing your knowledge with junior colleagues and helping to foster a culture of continuous development.
Responsibilities:
- Handle premiums ranging from £2.5k to £100k, balancing high-volume cases with more complex, high-value risks.
- Make decisions within your underwriting authority in collaboration with the team.
- Develop relationships with intermediaries and customers, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.
- Support the wider team and help foster a culture of continuous development.
Qualifications:
- Solid experience in Cargo or Freight insurance, either within underwriting or broking.
