A high profile specialist insurer going through a significant period of growth regionally has a new opportunity to join their Birmingham branch as a Cyber Underwriter. This could be either at Senior Underwriter level or Underwriter level depending on your level of experience.
Responsibilities
- Be a pivotal part of the cyber offering for the Birmingham region, focusing on new business across SME and mid‑market sectors.
- Act as an external point of contact forging strong relationships with brokers.
- Work closely with the Cyber Underwriting Manager to drive and develop opportunities within strategy.
- Assist with the development of underwriting strategy and portfolio management to achieve underwriting profitability.
- Mentor and develop junior underwriters, providing coaching and support where required.
- Represent the business on an external basis, promoting the company and attending regular cyber‑focused events.
Qualifications
- Extensive cyber underwriting experience if aiming for Senior Underwriter level. Candidates looking to step up to this level will also be considered.
- Professional indemnity underwriting experience may also be considered if you have a keen interest in cyber insurance and the desire to progress further within that area.
