A well-established and growing insurance broker is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Account Executive to join its team in Amersham. This role offers the opportunity to inherit an existing portfolio generating up to £500,000 in income, whilst also being supported to develop new business and drive further growth across the region.
The successful individual will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of mid-market commercial clients, typically paying premiums from £20,000 through to £250,000. The focus will be on building long‑term client relationships, retaining and growing existing accounts, leading renewal discussions, identifying cross‑selling opportunities and acting as a trusted adviser to clients on their insurance and risk management requirements.
Alongside managing an established book, you'll be expected to generate new business opportunities, develop relationships with key insurer partners and work closely with internal broking and account handling teams to ensure clients receive a first‑class service. This is a client‑facing role where strong relationship management, commercial awareness and the ability to influence outcomes are essential.
We are keen to speak with experienced Commercial Account Executives who have a background managing and developing commercial insurance portfolios. Candidates should have strong knowledge of the commercial insurance market, experience dealing with mid‑market clients and a history of winning and retaining business. Exposure to products such as Commercial Combined, Property, Liability, Fleet, Professional Indemnity, D&O, Cyber and Management Liability would be advantageous.
This opportunity would suit a relationship‑led insurance professional who enjoys client interaction, is confident operating autonomously and is motivated by portfolio growth and delivering excellent client outcomes.
