Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Temporary Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial records of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial information, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing management reports, supporting payroll, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the wider business. Duties of Bookkeeper: Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records using the company's accounting software. Process and reconcile sales and purchase ledger transactions. Raise customer invoices and allocate customer receipts. Process supplier invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and prepare payment runs. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations. Manage petty cash and company credit card transactions. Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate financial records. Carry out credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments and resolving customer account queries. Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
