Head of Underwriting - Warranty Insurance

IPS Group is working exclusively with a well-established and highly successful warranty insurance business who are looking to hire a new Underwriting Manager. With a strong reputation, a significant customer base and a long track record of profitable growth, they're now looking to appoint an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead and develop their underwriting function. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing a team of underwriters while taking ownership of underwriting strategy, risk appetite, governance and underwriting standards across the business. The successful individual will play a key role in ensuring underwriting decisions are made consistently, risks are appropriately assessed and the wider portfolio continues to deliver profitable and sustainable growth. As Underwriting Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the underwriting team whilst providing strategic direction across the underwriting function. You'll monitor portfolio performance, review claims trends and loss ratios, and use data and insight to drive informed underwriting decisions.
