A specialist family law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Family Solicitor to join its established team in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior family lawyer seeking high-quality private family work within a well-respected practice known for its client-focused approach and strong reputation in the market.

The successful candidate will manage a broad range of privately funded family matters while playing an important role in the continued growth and development of the office. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will have the autonomy to run your own caseload, contribute to business development initiatives and help mentor more junior colleagues. This role is primarily office-based, with full-time hours preferred, although part-time applications will be considered for the right candidate.

Candidate Profile / Experience Needed

  • Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with ideally 8+ years' PQE in family law, although candidates with slightly less experience and a strong background in private family work will also be considered.
  • Experience handling a varied private family law caseload, including divorce, separation, financial remedy and private children matters.
  • Knowledge of cohabitation disputes, pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, separation agreements and protective injunctions.
  • Experience of TOLATA matters would be advantageous.
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent client care, communication and drafting skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a consistent billing record.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring or developing junior team members, or a desire to take on such responsibilities.
  • A willingness to get involved in networking and business development activities.
  • Ambition to build a long-term career within a growing specialist practice.
  • Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A professional, organised and collaborative approach to work.
