This role would suit an ambitious Accounts Assistant, Accounts Senior or AAT Accountant who has gained a solid grounding in practice and is now looking to move into a commercial finance environment, with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across management accounting, month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
Working closely with the Senior Management Accountant and wider finance team, the successful candidate will receive support and development while gaining valuable exposure to the full management accounting cycle.
The Role Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and management information.
Support the month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
Assist with budgets, forecasts and financial planning.
Analyse financial performance and produce regular management reports.
Support weekly and monthly KPI reporting.
Complete bank and control account reconciliations.
Assist with fixed asset accounting and year-end audit preparation.
Work closely with operational teams, developing your commercial and business partnering skills.
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.
Undertake ad hoc financial analysis as required.
