A newly created opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to join a profitable and growing manufacturing business based in Elland. This is a varied, hands-on role that blends manufacturing accounting, cost analysis, and systems development. The business is in an exciting phase, establishing its first UK manufacturing plant and integrating a new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central). You will play a key part in shaping cost visibility, improving processes, and providing meaningful financial insight across the operation.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining standard costing models, BOMs, and routings
- Preparing detailed variance analysis (labour, material, overhead, yield)
- Producing management accounts and KPI dashboards with commentary
- Partnering with operations and procurement to drive cost control and efficiency
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Leading ERP development and reporting improvements within Business Central
- Enhancing management information, reporting automation, and data accuracy
Qualifications
- Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent (study support available)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong cost awareness
- Good knowledge of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Strong Excel skills and confidence with data analysis
- A proactive mindset and interest in systems, process improvement, and commercial insight
Benefits
- Salary circa £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
- Annual bonus averaging 25-35% of base salary
