Hybrid financial accountant role (3 days WFH) with a professional services company based in Leeds centre. You will support the organisation's financial accounting operations, lead on statutory annual reporting, and take full ownership of the audit process. You'll provide accurate financial information to internal teams and external stakeholders, while helping evolve financial systems and processes for continued improvement. This position is open for an industry move or a 1st move from practice.
Key Responsibilities- Produce the annual statutory report, including detailed financial disclosures.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and reconcile VAT accounts.
- Deliver financial reporting and information to senior management.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support process improvements.
- Collaborate across the wider finance team, including coaching less-experienced colleagues.
- Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
- Strong background in financial and statutory accounting/reporting.
- Experience auditing or working closely with auditors.
- Ability to produce high-quality financial reports for leadership.
