We are seeking a Financial Controller or Financial Director to take the reins of the financial operations. This is a key leadership position for a hands-on, commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make an immediate impact.
The Role
Reporting to senior management, this individual will ensure the financial health of the business through effective planning, compliance, and performance reporting. Working closely with the Directors, they will drive the financial strategy, implement best practices, and provide insightful analysis to support business growth and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Presenting financial reports and performance KPIs to leadership
- Managing cash flow, asset control, and debtor relationships
- Leading budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Monitoring financial performance against targets and initiating corrective actions
- Ensuring tax compliance and liaising with external accountancy partners
- Identifying and implementing process efficiencies and automation
- Maintaining stakeholder relationships, including with banks and insurers
- Mentoring and developing the finance team
- Supporting strategic decisions with financial insights
- Overseeing day-to-day financial operations with a hands-on approach

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), part-qualified, or QBE
