A £100m turnover division of a privately owned international supplier of specialist equipment is seeking a Head of Finance to lead all financial operations, reporting directly to the senior leadership team. This is a full-time role ideal for a hands-on finance professional with strong technical and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed board commentary
- Reconcile all balance sheet control accounts and oversee monthly payroll submissions
- Review and approve purchase ledger payments and ensure strong financial controls
- Produce and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring full HMRC compliance
- Lead year-end statutory accounts preparation and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and bankers
- Support the tender process with accurate financial information and insight
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports for senior management
- Oversee all insurance-related matters, including annual renewals and claims monitoring
- Work closely with the wider group finance team to ensure alignment and reporting consistency
